The Methodist Lay Training College has a library of around 6,000 books, theological journals, CD ROMS and audio tapes. The library is located at the farthest first floor of the left wing of the MLTC main building. The main library sequence contains almost all the books and journals you will require for your course. These books are intended mainly for research purposes. It also have computers and internet for research purposes.
Opening Hours
Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 4.00pm
7.00pm – 8.30 pm
Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm during term.
Library Loan Policy
a) Students can borrow a maximum of 3 books at any one time.
b) Books are issued for two weeks period.
c) If you require a book that is out on loan, it is important that you complete a reservation slip and hand it to the librarian.
d) Reference books can only be used in the library, and may not be taken to any other room in the college without the librarian’s express permission. Periodicals are also for reference only, and may not be removed from the library without the librarian’s express permission.
e) The borrower is responsible for the returning of books to the library.
f) Book should not be transferred from one student to another as there may be a reservation request in place.
g) You may renew your loan if you need your book for longer before the due date. This can be done twice only for the sake of other library users.
h) Lost or damaged books are the responsibility of the borrower who will have to pay for the repair or replacement. Borrower privileges are suspended until payment is made.
