Davuilevu
Introduction
Students of Davuilevu are expected to behave with respect and courtesy to others at all times, both inside and outside Davuilevu. Older students in Davuilevu should set an example of good behaviour for younger students to follow.
Clothing
1. It is the duty of the Head of Institution to see that their students: a. Attend church in the uniform of their institution.
2. Are impressed the need to be:
a. Suitable clothed when outside Davuilevu
b. Respectably clothed when going to and from the river
c. Clothed in appropriate clothes when doing outdoor work
General Behaviour
1. The Head of the Institution shall forbid shouting and noisy behaviour particularly:
a. Around Davuilevu residences, Baker Church, on the government road, Rewa bridge, and Nausori.
b. In other parts of Davuilevu during study hours, religious services, and in the vicinity of buildings where meetings are held.
2. Head of Institutions will also forbid students to jump from the Rewa Bridge or play under it.
3. Fireworks are permitted only when official approval is given.
Divine Service
1. Services will begin at 7.00 am; 10.00 am and 4.00 pm on Sunday and 7.00 pm on Wednesday.
2. Students are requested to be seated in Baker Church by the time the second bell rings for Divine Service.
3. Students must not entre Baker Church during prayers.
4. Students must not leave Baker Church during the service. Sunday No purchase will be made at a store on

Holidays
The matter of holidays and weekends is in hands of the Head of Institution, but they are asked to consult the Superintendent when Town or Circuit functions are affected thereby.
Social Functions
All social functions in Davuilevu will be arranged in consultation with the Superintendent.
Medical
1. All cases of serious sickness or accidents will be reported to the Head of the Institution or Talatala Qase.
2. No intoxication liquor is allowed on the compound. No person connected with Davuilevu is permitted the use of liquor.
3. Smoking by students is forbidden in Davuilevu and on leave.
4. Spitting on the footpath and similar public places is forbidden.
Sports Ground
Institution is responsible to the Executive committee for care of the grounds, and must refer to the Superintendent for use of the grounds other than the approved sports day of the institution.
The Superintendent has the right to declare the grounds to be unfit for use if he considers it necessary.
Animals and Livestock
Householders may keep one cat each, but dogs are forbidden to all residents.
a. Persons on institution keeping cattle, horses, or pigs are responsible for any damage done by them and may be claimed against by persons or institutions suffering thereby.
b. Persons owning such animals are expected to observe the health regulations regarding the proximity of these animals and places of residences.
Masts, Clothes Lining and electrical wiring
1. Under no circumstances is it permitted to erect wireless masts, aerials and lead-in close proximity in electric light wires, or in such a position that wind or weather could bring the two into contact.
2. No unauthorised person is permitted to interfere with any electrical wirings or fittings. When matters require attention, they should be referred to the Superintendent.
Students Visiting in Davuilevu
1. No male student from any Institution may visit the female students’ dormitory (or its vicinity) or any institution without the permission of the authority approved by that institution.
2. No female student from any Institution may visit the male students’ dormitory (or its vicinity) or any institution without the permission of the authority approved by that institution.
3. Students may not enter building of another Institution except when invited by a member of that Institution to go with him or her that said member being responsible for his/her action.
4. If such a student desires to visit another Institution, he/she must obtain prior permission of the Principal of that Institution.
5. On such occasion they must obey the rules of that Institution.
Children Staying with Davuilevu Residents.
1. No house in Davuilevu shall have more occupants that the area provides from within the terms of the current health regulations.
2. When residents desire to house non-members of their own families this requires permission of the Superintendent, who may refer any case to the Davuilevu Council so desires. In any case, the matter is subject to Law 1 above.
3. When such permission is given the superintendent shall make clear the responsibilities of the non-members of the family in matters of behaviour, town work, financial assistance, and resident involved.
Miscellaneous
1. Trees and branches may be cut in Davuilevu only with the permission of the Superintendent.
2. Students are forbidden to incur debt at the store.
3. No gambling is permitted in Davuilevu. This includes the selling of sweep and art union tracts, and applies to all students including day scholars.
4. All members of staff have the authority to reprimand the students of any Institution in Davuilevu, for damaging town property, disorderly behaviour, or in any way breaking Davuilevu rules, and should report the matter to the Head of the Institution concerned.
5. The Laws of each Institution shall be related to Davuilevu Laws.
6. Any matter not otherwise provided for shall be decided by Superintendent to the Davuilevu Council
